The Anatomy of My Art Crates: shipping artwork is an essential part of doing business.

Protecting the art, during travel and while being stored, is my number one concern after finishing a new painting. The way I finish and store my paintings, is as important as how I will protect these original works of art, from studio to gallery or art collector. When I ship an original painting to an art show, art gallery or art collector; I always use a custom built wooden crate to protect the artwork. The photos below show the art shipping crates I use to protect the artwork after it leaves my studio. How I Pack a crate: the artwork in sealed in a waterproof bag, adding an additional layer of protection in the very extreme case that water should come into contact with the wooden shipping crate. Then the artwork is secured into place with rigged cardboard.
