A Window Into My Work

For more than 20 years, I have been painting my way across Canada, from the west coast to the east coast and many places in between.

My paintings have explored Canadian landscapes, wildlife, hockey, people, coastlines and the many visual details that make this country so distinctive. In recent years, my focus has been returning home to Vancouver Island, where the Salish Sea, coastal landscapes and wildlife have become an increasingly important part of my work.

My practice is always evolving. A new painting might begin with something I encountered on a hike, a memory from Newfoundland, a particular quality of light on the coast or one of those distinctly Canadian moments that catches my attention. Artsy gives you another way to follow that journey.
