East Sooke Beach

Acrylic, 2007

East Sooke Beach: A subdued painting capturing the west coast of Canada. The grey sand beaches of Vancouver Island set against the blue ocean and sky and the greenery that lines the rocks, with storm fallen trees from west coast winds. This piece is as abstract as it is representational and you can get lost in the shapes and forms within the piece. Much like staring at changing clouds, you can find something new within the shapes every time you gaze upon this piece. Somewhere on a westcoast beach on Vancouver Island, inside East Sooke Provincial Park.
